Who We Are

CivicLens Technologies Inc. is an Indigenous-owned Canadian technology company based in Saskatchewan. The company is exploring responsible digital solutions intended to improve access to civic and public-interest information. 

CivicLens was founded in response to the challenges people can face when public-interest information is fragmented, difficult to navigate or presented without sufficient context. The company is guided by the belief that technology can support clearer access to information while preserving neutrality, and independence. 

Ron Waddington is the Founder and President of CivicLens Technologies Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Administration with a major in corporate finance and has experience in governance, economic development, corporate oversight and public-interest initiatives. His professional experience has provided first-hand insight into the challenges individuals, communities and institutions can face when navigating complex public and organizational information. 

CivicLens is advancing research, concept validation and early-stage digital development while exploring potential pilot, technology, research and funding relationships.  The company is refining its ideas, developing preliminary digital concepts, and exploring potential relationships with governments, institutions, technology providers, researchers, funders, and other organizations interested in responsible civic technology.
